The Core Benchmarks are organized around the major functional elements of the supply chain and include financial and technology benchmarks. The major areas highlighted here are:
Financial Benchmarks -- This section covers supply chain cost components as a percentage of revenue, days of receivables outstanding, and days of payables outstanding. The analysis was completed on an industry segment basis.
Supply Chain Planning Benchmarks -- The supply chain planning section includes 3 major planning functions: Network Optimization and Design, Sales Forecasting, and Inventory Management and Accuracy.
Sourcing Benchmarks -- The sourcing analysis provides foundation data on the global regions where sourcing occurs, vendor performance metrics, and vendor quality assurance measures. The performance metrics and quality assurance data are arranged by industry segment.
