Supply Chain Expert Robert Nardone Joins Tompkins as Executive Associate

Raleigh, NC, June 24, 2008 -- Tompkins Associates (Tompkins) continues to expand its global supply chain expertise, and the latest move is the addition of top industry specialist Robert Nardone as an executive associate.

"Bob will provide us with a higher level of guidance and leadership," says Jim Tompkins, President and CEO. "He has vast experience in global supply chain strategy within a number of industries, including food and beverage, personal care, and health and beauty aids."

For the past 35 years, Nardone has served as an operations executive at Unilever, Bestfoods, Nabisco Brands, and Colgate Palmolive. He is noted for leading the supply chain transformation work at Unilever US, which aligned the company's supply chain and business strategies, and for his expertise in planning and logistics. For all of his innovative contributions to the supply chain industry, Nardone was recently named one of Consumer Goods Technology magazine's "Visionaries of 2007."

Nardone is pleased to be working with Tompkins. "I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging initiatives with many great organizations and people. I'm glad to be able to share some of my experiences and insights with Tompkins and its clients," he says.

He received an M.S. in Engineering Management and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Based in New Jersey, Nardone is a well-known speaker and guest lecturer at the Rutgers University Supply Chain Management program. He is also a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the Hanover, N.J. Planning Board.
