Tompkins Associates Promotes Steve Simonson to Partner

RALEIGH, NC, May 7, 2008 - Steve Simonson has been named Partner of Tompkins Associates, the leading provider of global end-to-end solutions for companies that embrace supply chain excellence.

Simonson, who has been a great asset to Tompkins' distribution operations team for more than eight years, will help lead the company's global expansion in his new role.

Simonson, who is based in Chicago, has more than 19 years of engineering and management experience specializing in transportation, logistics and supporting IT systems. His practical engineering expertise has helped improve the supply chains of a number of companies such as Honeywell, CNH, Andersen Windows, The Trane Company, Kraft Foods, Lockheed Martin and Newell Rubbermaid.

In 2005, he co-authored Logistics and Manufacturing Outsourcing: Harness Your Competencies, a solutions book for developing successful outsourcing relationships and managing outsourced functions. Along with his other credentials, Simonson is a frequent speaker at industry meetings and events and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
