Tompkins Associates Names New COO

RALEIGH, NC, September 24, 2007 -- Tompkins Associates, the leading total supply chain solutions and integration firm, has named Mark Buffum as its new Chief Operating Officer. Buffum will play a key role in continuing Tompkins’ expansion to meet the demands of the global supply chain marketplace.

As the Senior Partner of Tompkins’ Technology Dimension since 2000, Buffum is an expert in best practices and has more than 15 years of experience in distribution and logistics solutions, system development and integration, and material handling systems implementation. Prior to joining Tompkins, Buffum was a Manager for IBM Federal Systems Integration and a Director for Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies.
