Printronix SLPA7000e gives companies an automated RFID compliance printing solution
IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 13, 2005 — Printronix Inc. (NASDAQ: PTNX), the leading integrated supply-chain printing solutions manufacturer, today announced that Tompkins Associates has selected Printronix’s radio frequency identification (RFID) SLPA7000e™ printer for inclusion in the Tompkins Emerging Technology Center (ETC) in Orlando, FL. The Printronix SLPA7000 is an automated RFID printing solution for compliance and in-line applications introduced to the market in June 2004.
Launched in April, the Tompkins ETC focuses on research, development and testing of emerging technologies such as RFID, voice-activated picking and real-time warehouse controls. This fully operational, multimillion-dollar facility helps companies assimilate people, software and equipment, and plan the best ways to incorporate RFID and other technologies into their operations.
