Raleigh, NC, January 21, 2002—Tompkins Associates, the leader in total operations consulting, information technology implementation and material handling integration, today announced that John Seidl has joined the firm as a Partner. Mr. Seidl will focus primarily on growing Tompkins' Technology dimension. He will play a leading role in driving the company's supply chain inititatives and growing existing technology offerings.

Mr. Seidl joins Tompkins Associates from Deloitte Consulting, where he was a Partner in the Supply Chain division. In this position, he was the leader of the Deloitte Consulting supply chain execution systems practice and the co-leader of the supply chain practice for consumer business. He has worked with all aspects of the supply chain including operations, physical distribution, business process improvement and information technology. Previously, he spent several years designing, developing and implementing systems to support merchandise planning, replenishment and all aspects of retail operations.

Mr. Seidl is a member of the Council of Logistics Management, the Warehousing Education and Research Council and the National Retail Federation. He has a B.S. in Computer Science as well as a B.S. in Business Management-MIS from the University of Montana.
