Tompkins Associates Announces Plans to Build New Central Campus

Raleigh, NC, May 5, 2000—Tompkins Associates, a leading Total Operations consulting firm, today announced plans to build a 50,000 square foot Central Campus to meet the growing needs of the company and its employees.

Scheduled for occupancy in May 2001, the Central Campus will be the home of the Corporate Office, the Mid-Atlantic Office, Tompkins Press and Tompkins University. The 23-acre campus site will be located in Raleigh, NC at 401 North, adjacent to the Neuse River and bordering the new site of Wake Technical Community College. The vision for the Central Campus is to:

  • Be a genuine reflection of the Tompkins Associates' character, culture, values, and spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Fulfill the organizational, social, technological, and financial needs of Tompkins Associates.
  • Be a fun, healthy, productive, and enjoyable place to conduct business.
  • Be respectful of the surrounding community and its natural environment.
  • Grow and evolve with Tompkins Associates.

"This campus is the beginning of a new chapter in the book of working with great clients and doing great work," said Jim Tompkins, president and founder of Tompkins Associates. "I'm excited to see how far we've come and even more excited to envision where we are headed."

Tompkins Associates has selected Jim Scofield, SIOR and Barbie Burgess of Anthony & Company, a leading commercial real estate firm, and John Sibert, AIA from 2SL Design, to aid in the planning and definition of the Central Campus, and to coordinate its design and construction.
