Email Kelly Reed
Kelly Reed is a “veteran” supply chain authority in every sense of the word. With more than 30 years experience in logistics, warehousing, warehouse management systems, inventory management, and inventory deployment, he has worked extensively with a variety of public, private and government business to improve their supply chain planning, execution and warehouse operations.
Prior to joining Tompkins International, Kelly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in a variety of logistics positions. In two of those assignments, he was directly responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and shipment of ammunition and explosives in military and commercial trucking, as well as in military aircraft. He completed his military service as a Lieutenant Colonel. Kelly also has experience supplying laboratories with hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals and biological specimens while employed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as the Associate Director of Materials Support.
Kelly’s experience also includes developing strategic plans, justification of systems and equipment, detailed facility planning and specification, and management of the implementation process.
He received his B.S. in Business Administration at Ohio State University and his M.S. in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School.
