CIO Magazine recognized Restoration Hardware in its 2009 list of the top 100 companies that best used technology to innovate their operations and create value in their businesses.
The operational projects cited in CIO Magazine's profile of the company were its business project and supply chain management tools. Restoration Hardware implemented a new order management and fulfillment system. The company expects a return on investment of $150 million in the next five years.
Restoration Hardware's Abnesh Raina, SVP, IT, explains how Tompkins Associates partnered with Restoration Hardware to reach their goals:
“When we took on the Systems Transformation Initiative we knew it was going to be a significant challenge.
Not only did we need to align our technology portfolio, architecture, and implementations with the business roadmap of launching new brands, in-sourcing and consolidating distribution centers, improving service levels through better customer service, etc., we needed to do so with little to no impact to current business operations.
The single most critical component that made us successful was our team that we assembled across an array of professional disciplines, people with high energy, positive can-do attitude who did not take 'no' for an answer.
In the area of Supply Chain Execution, Technology, and Material Handling Integration, Tompkins Associates played a significant role and helped in our planning and execution phases. They were an excellent partner to work with and definitely contributed to our success. It would have been a greater challenge had we not had partners like them.”
Tompkins Associates is proud to be a part of Restoration Hardware's success. Congratulations to the whole team.
